Call for Symposium Proposals

We are organizing a global scientific program for the upcoming 8th World Congress of Leishmaniasis (WorldLeish 8) to be held in Antalya, Türkiye, from 6–10 April 2027, and welcome proposals for Parallel Symposium sessions. Our goal is to create a dynamic and stimulating program of broad topics related to leishmaniasis research.

Instructions

• All symposium proposals must be submitted through the congress website. Proposals submitted by email will not be considered.
• Proposals must be received by the announced deadline. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.
• Accepted symposia are part of the scientific program and may not contain commercial promotional content.
• If you would like to organize a symposium that does not fulfil these requirements, do not submit your proposal here. Instead, please enquire if your proposed symposium can be accommodated as a "Satellite Event".

Guidelines for Submission

• All proposals must be submitted in English by the deadline through the online portal.
• Each submitter can submit one or more Symposium Session proposals.
• Please describe the symposium briefly, up to 300 words.
• The proposal submitter must provide their full name, title, and affiliation.
• Please indicate the presentation title for each speaker.
• Provide the full name, title, and affiliation of presenters.
• Select the symposium topic among the Abstract Topics.
• All proposals will be reviewed by the Local Organizing and Scientific Program Committees.
• All chairs and presenters are required to register for WL8.

Standard Session Format

Proposal Checklist

Please ensure your submission includes all of the following before clicking submit:

• Symposium title
• Brief description of the symposium (max 300 words)
• Selected topic from the Abstract Topics list
• Full name, title, and affiliation of the proposal submitter
• Names and affiliations of 2 chairpersons
• Full name, title, affiliation, and tentative presentation title of each speaker (min 3, standard 4)
• Confirmation that all proposed speakers and chairs have agreed to participate if the symposium is accepted
