The conference will officially run on Turkey Time (CET – Istanbul Time).

Visas

Türkiye's visa regulations vary significantly depending on the participant's nationality. Based on current 2026 protocols, comprehensive information is provided below:

Important

All international participants are advised to check their specific visa requirements at least 3 months before the convention. Depending on your citizenship and passport type, you will likely fall into one of three categories below.

1. Visa-Exempt Countries

Citizens of many countries (including most EU nations, the UK, Norway, and several South American countries) can enter Türkiye for up to 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa.

2. E-Visa (Electronic Visa)

Participants from countries like the USA, Canada, Australia, and many others can obtain an e-Visa online in minutes.

The e-Visa is valid for "Tourism" or "Commerce," which explicitly includes attending conferences and seminars.

3. Sticker Visa (Missions)

If you are not eligible for an e-Visa or visa exemption, you must apply for a "Sticker Visa" at the nearest Turkish Embassy or Consulate.

  • Pre-Application: Start your application at www.visa.gov.tr
  • Processing Time: This can take 4–8 weeks; we recommend starting this process as early as possible.

Key Requirements for All Attendees

To ensure a smooth entry, please verify the following:

  • Passport Validity: Per Turkish law, your passport must be valid for at least 60 days beyond the "duration of stay" of your visa or exemption. (We recommend at least 6 months of validity from your date of entry to avoid any issues).
  • Letter of Invitation: If you require a formal Letter of Invitation for your visa application, please complete your registration first. Once payment is confirmed, you can receive it from the Organizers or download it from your registration page.
  • Travel Health Insurance: Comprehensive medical insurance is mandatory for all foreign visitors entering Türkiye.

Letter of Invitation

An official personalized letter of invitation will be provided to registered participants as part of the registration process. You will be able to generate an invitation letter at the end of the registration process, and you will also receive a confirmation email with a link to the invitation letter.

This invitation is prepared solely for visa applications and is not a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial support or confirmation of inclusion in the scientific program.

Dress Code

During the entire WL8, the advised attire is business casual.

Guest Attendance Policy

All event activities (including educational sessions, meal functions, exhibit hall, etc.) are exclusively reserved for registered attendees. Non-registered guests (including children, family members, colleagues, etc.) are not allowed in any of the event areas. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.

Liability and Insurance

Please do not leave bags or suitcases unattended at any time, whether inside or outside the session halls. Hotels strongly recommend that you use their safety deposit boxes for your valuables.

The WL8 organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants, either during or indirectly arising from the conference. Participants are advised to take out their own personal health and travel insurance for their trip.

Use of Camera and Video

Attendees of the WL8 Congress are required to respect the privacy of other participants and refrain from any unauthorized or unwelcomed recording or photography. Participants are not allowed to take photos or videos of scientific material shown unless express prior consent by the presenter has been ascertained. Moreover, integral recording of complete oral presentations is not allowed unless these are done by a professional entity that has been contracted for this purpose by or on behalf of the organizer.

Taking photos and recordings at the conference center for professional use is not allowed without obtaining prior permission from the organizer.

The WL Congresses adhere to the copyright laws guiding the appropriate sharing of scientific research material, including data. Authors' consent may be requested by the WL8 Congress organizer in case sharing of scientific material from abstracts/posters/presentations as part of the WL8 and any of its third-party organizations for publications and educational activities.

Please be advised that a professional photographer may be taking photos of participants during the WL8 Congress. These photos may be used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to the WL website, social media, and future congress materials. By attending the congress, you consent to the use of your image in these materials.
